Hello world!

I’m not new to the bloggin’ world and if you know me, you’ll know that I currently reside over on blogger, at Sara-n-dipity9702.  I saw that a bunch of my blogroll friends were creating new blogs (in the Big Bloggy Move) and I thought that I could use a change, too,  and I’m thinking that I’m glad I did.  WordPress seems SO much easier to use than Blogger.  Not that I have anything against Blogger…I just think I need a change.  I periodically like change…

Anywho…this is just a tentative post until I get settled in.  Like my friend Megan (who incidentally is why I’m doing this) over at her new place on typepad, I’ve got a lot of furniture to move around and some things that should go into storage…

She’s My Hero

A friend of mine from one of my online baby boards (whose daughter and Bug share the same birthday) recently participated in the 3-day Breast Cancer Walk in Atlanta, GA. She works for CNN and did a little video diary of her journey.

Jessica is a wonderful woman (and Mama) who, despite having broken her ankle in January (during a terrible sledding incident) and having a metal plate and 10 screws installed, was able to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, along with 25oo other men and women by walking 60 miles in 3 days. She has, thankfully, not been personally affected by cancer, but was courageous enough to get out there on a rebuilt ankle while 15 weeks pregnant and make a difference in the lives of others. She truly is a superhero. I can only hope to be like her one day.

Click here to watch her story. Don’t forget to read the article she wrote at the bottom. It’s a touching story.

Technical Difficulties

I just want to apologize to those who use Google Reader or any other subscription program for reading blogs if you were subjected to an additional viewing of my Vacation to Vermont post. I was having some issues with pictures not showing up and accidentally removed and posted it again so it may have shown back up as unread in your reader. I humbly apologize…oh, and the pictures should now be fixed, too.
